Well.. It's not what I expected but I know it's the lords will and I am hoping and going to work for the best. I'm staying in Sakado with Elder Kuwana for another transfer. Our whole zone didn't change cept for one companionship cuz one was done with his mission. So I think next transfer is going to change like crazy. I know there's a reason for everything so you don't have to tell me. :) I am happy however to be in Sakado! I love the ward tons and we are helping a few young men go on missions so it will be good. If you could pray that we will have more lessons that would be ideal... We had 5 last transfer... It's been rough... But it's ok! I know it will be, its fine! Let me tell you about my week!
We had a mission conference last week! Elder Aoyagi of the 2nd Seventy came and talked to us and he and sister Aoyagi are just a bundle of joy! It was too much fun! They really understand missionaries and the way we think and understand that after sitting in the same room for hours on hours hearing people talk we need breaks. So we stood up and sang, did action to songs, did activities, asked questions and answered questions it was wonderful they are so great! The coolest thing I learned from Elder Aoyagi was his first week as a missionary he could not open his mouth to talk to anyone to save his life! He got so scared and the mission he had been dying to go on and waiting and overcoming trials for... He wasn't sure why he was there. He knelt every night for the strength to talk to someone yet it didn't happen. For a whole week he could not even say hi to anyone. He prayed really hard one night and asked for help and to know why he couldn't call out to these people even say hello! He felt the spirit ask him... Do you love these people? He hadn't ever thought of it that way... He then felt the spirt ask if his father or brother was walking down the street would he say hello or just keep walking? Of COURSE he would say something! With new motivation and realization that these were not just people but they were his brothers and sisters he went out to go find people. The first person he saw he called out to him OTTOSAN! (Which means father but you can use it for people who are older) after that the man stopped and talked to him! Next person he saw he yelled out ONECHAN! (Older Brother but again you can use it for guys that are older than you) he stopped and talked to him too! After that he was able to talk to so many more people and really love the people. I am out here talking to my brothers I have forgotten and helping them remember what our brother has done for them! We walk amongst our family everyday! But are we too scared to say hello? I know if I saw my family walking down the street I would for sure call out their name! What makes this any different!? I learned a lot from this conference but the biggest thing I learned is love and to keep smiling and sharing the light!
We had one day last week where we saw nothing but success! It was the coolest thing ever! We talked to a lot of people and shared a lot of messages and spread lots of happiness! The first person we talked to was a high school kid who had a couple dogs with him! He seemed a little annoyed that his dogs were pulling him around and barking and stuff but we loved it! After we talked about church and what we do and stuff we invited him to come and to talk to us again. We asked him if we could exchange phone numbers and he said ohhhhh I don't have my phone on me! I left it at home! (What every person says) also in Japan lots of people just straight up don't know their phone numbers. But then he was like but could you maybe write it down and I'll call you later? (What every person says when they don't want to be rude) so we wrote it down and said thank you! We were glad we had a good conversation and we're hoping maybe he'd come to church. Later that night we GOT A PHONE CALL! What!? This does NOT happen! He said I looked up you website you gave me and I have lots of questions! Can anyone come to church? And stuff like that! It was the coolest thing ever! It was the perfect ending to a way successful day!
When I was on splits with Elder Tuttle this week we said hi to an old man and were like I like your hat! That's cool it's in English! Were from America! He got way excited and was like can I show you a picture!? We were like of course! He then was like wait... Are you doing anything right now? If not we should go grab a drink and talk! Of course we were like YES! He was the cutest old man in the world! He showed us a picture of his wife and an army guy from a long time ago. She got recognized for being the best telegraph operator during that month in 1957. He told us many stories of her and how great she was and a lot of pictures of her. I asked him how she was.... She passed away just two years ago. He asked us could you please translate this recognition letter? We did it for him and he was soooo grateful! He probably wanted to know what it meant for so long! At the end of our talk he expressed his gratitude for us listening to him. I told him we were grateful too and I know that his wife is smiling down on us! He was so cute and he took the picture of her and held it in front of us and bent it and made it so like she was bowing and says she says thank you too! Awhhhhhhh! Melted my heart! We shared a small message about how we believe that families can be together forever and we can be with our loved ones again. But it really taught us that we are here to share the light of christ not just teach the gospel. I believe that we shared a lot of light with him and he really needed that in his life. Sometimes all we really need is someone to listen so we can feel important. For this 87 year old man we said hi to on the street and ended up becoming great friends I am grateful. Thank you Mahino San!
I was reading in 3 Nephi 13 one day during study and there was a part I really liked that I wanted to share with you! It kept saying like do things for the purpose they are for like prayer, fasting, service. Keep them sacred. I am guilty of this but sometimes I pray or fast or do service for the intention of people will see me doing this so they will think I am great. It said in there if we are doing these things for the recognition of men... We have received our reward. We have gotten that in which we want, that instant satisfaction. That's all we get and its done. Although this is a good thing it's not saying it's a bad thing but that is your reward. You have a choice of having that or for God to reward you freely and if we are humble and keep things sacred we are able to get those blessings from God! How cool is that!
Ahhhhh we had a lesson with Wu and it was next level! We had a recent convert Ro who is also Chinese come and talk with him. He expressed his feelings in Chinese to her and she helped him sooooo much! After he told us that he has a lot of different methods now and he thinks he will find answers soon! The spirit was so strong in the lesson. Although I didn't understand much going on I was watching them the whole time. I watched as the language of the spirit fill their hearts and speak to Wu. At the end he said such a strong prayer. His desire is so strong. He told us that he would not be dealing with the problems or trying hard to solve them if it weren't for his testimony! I have a really strong feeling he will get baptized soon! I cannot wait!

Here's to the death transfer "shi" is four in JAPANESE which also means death! Ahhhh ;)
Are there words in other missions for disobedient missionaries? In Japan we say WOMP! Short for Wonnpaku which means like trouble maker.
Having 2 languages is so dang convenient! #wordsfordays # ceptsometimesigetcaughtupanddo ntknowwhichonetosay...
I just realized that probably half my friends on missions have no idea I'm on a mission...
A lady in the ward went to Hawaii on her mission and was in Maryns zone! #worldisheckatiny #aloha!
So I was talking to Yuki and he told me of a story he heard of someone teaching the law of tithing to someone. In Japanese it's called "juubun no ichi" which means one tenth. So these missionaries taught this guy about it and he accepted the commitment to live it.... But they didn't explain it right and didn't use the right words... So this guy with incredible faith goes up to the bishop and hands him the key to his house... The bishop was confused and so he asks why are you giving me this? He says the elders told me that I need to give "Jibun no uchi" (your own house) to God. Bahahahahaha!
S/O to judy for sending the longest email evvvvver! #soooooasian #soawesome! # waiiiitthereisnowayyouaresenio rs!
