Konnichiwa! Minasan genki? (Hello! Everyone happy?)
I sure hope so! This week fllllleeeeeew by! Which I was really praying for lately because the days have seemed to be going way too dang long! But this week was both fun and fast! I think mission time alters all laws of time...
Anyways here's a bit about me weeeeek!
So I got to have my first lesson with Wu. He is a Chinese guy here in Japan learning JAPANESE! He has known the missionaries for a very long time and loves the church. He has a way strong testimony and his faith is so strong. The only problem is, like always.... There's a girl. His girlfriend works for the Chinese government and they are very strict on rules and laws. He said it would be hard to get baptized with that as well as going back to China and trying to get a job being Christian. He has a few other problems as well... I told him that he need to pray about not the problems but if he should get baptized. I think he has already received an answer but I told him that if he makes the right decision God will take care of the rest because he isn't just going to be like oh you got baptized ? I'm going to make it impossible for you to be a member. Of course trials will come but he will make the path if we have the faith! I had a moment of revelation that I hadn't thought of before and I messaged a guy named jiao in my last area. He had similar problems (again a girl) hahahaha but I asked him if he'd help Wu and talk to him and Skype with us. I asked Wu if that would be ok and he got really excited and said yes! In his prayer at the end he asked if He would make it possible to talk to jiao. I think after that talk he will want to be baptized. This man needs to be baptized! He wants it so bad! Dang satan... Dang girls.... Hahaha!
We were streeting one day and I stopped a man and we started talking! He was like oh I've tried Christian church's before but nothing really worked for me, I'm trying to find the truth. We talked on the street for probably 45 minutes and he was telling me about how he loved the idea of prophets being here today guiding us. He said he's read the whole bible and he knew a ton about Adam and Eve. He was telling us about all the movies he's seen and how he really knows God and Jesus Christ live! It was seriously amazing the whole time I had butterflies in my stomach thinking this is the guy! This is finally it! I was like we should meet again and talk more! He's like yeah we should! But... When we tried to get his number or set up another time he said he didn't want to do that. He said if we meet in the street we will talk again ( we get this a lot...) anyways the most prepared guy I have ever met didn't want to really accept our message. It's chill though because that day we watered his seed a ton and someday it will blossom into something AMAZING!
We have been working with a lot of members recently which is probably my favorite thing to do as a missionary. It's really cool to get to connect on things and learn about their family! It's been some of the best memories I've made so far on my mission! We have been helping a few young men ready to go on a mission and the great thing is they all speak English! So I have had the chance to show Lisa my sisters I'm a Mormon video! It has been such an amazing thing to be able to show people this is my awesome sister and she loves service! Then we talk about the different ways we can serve people and the difference it makes in their lives! And.... Then I tie it into missionary work and it's ALWAYS freaking awesome! Also Lisa! You're on the chirashi !!! (flyer)
One thing I've discovered lately with my Japanese companion is... I AM SOOOOOO AMERICAN! I've visited Japan a ton and always thought I am so Japanese and like amongst my friends and stuff I'm like I'm so Asian but holy cow I am soooo American! It's been interesting interacting with all kind of Japanese people and seeing the different ways of thinking especially with being with my companion 24/7! Also the communication has been really difficult... Not because I can't understand or speak JAPANESE... But because... Idk it's been really weird...a lot of the times he's will just start going somewhere and I'll have no idea what we're doing and I've quit asking and bringing up that he needs to tell me because he always gives me a way bimiyo (up in the air, broad, not certain) answer or mumbles something.... The communication is just difficult because our minds just work different. But it's cool because through him I have been able to kind of figure out the Japanese people more and find out better how to help them. It's also fun to see the similarities! Even if we are way different there are always things to connect on and I love that! its definitely been a learning experience and really opened my eyes (figuratively cuz still squinty) people are so interesting it's so cool!
Challenge this week!
Go watch my sisters video! For those of you on missions it's the second one down on the gospel library app in I'm a Mormon. After you watch the video if you're a missionary use it or another I'm a Mormon video as a tool to help someone! And then GO DO SERVICE! Service is so great! It's been hard here because the JAPANESE people don't really accept help but we have been able to find some if we look really hard. It doesn't have to be big either! If you live in the spirit of service there are thousands of opportunities everyday to make someone's day brighter and help them out. It may only take you a second but that person may remember that act of service forever! So go and do good!
we visited a few families who have little kids and it's bad news because me and elder Kuwana both can't wait to have families and so every time we leave were like ahhhhhhhh!!!! I cannot wait!!!!!
You know you're in Japan when... You look at a picture of people wearing shoes inside and your cringe!
We talked to a family over dinner about their missions and all I have to say is it's waaaaay different now! #timeshavechanged!
My comp cuts his own hair cuz he says its a waste to get it cut while on a mission... But he kinda looks like an Asian Mr. T right now... #bahahahah #ipitythefoo! # idkifishouldtellhimitsprobnoto k...

Thou shalt kick it till the day's end.
If thou eat to thy desire thy belly shall be full and thy heart will be the same.
You know how when you send stuff to Mexico you have to put Mother Mary stickers on everything and they leave it alone? I figure it's the same thing if I put hello kitty stickers on the letters for Japan! - Audree dree Jones
On a mission the days go slow... The weeks come fast... And the months never come! #missiontime
Ahhhhhhh I can't wait to be a dad! Japanese kids are too cute!!
Shout out to the letter writers! Thank you!!!! #harley #audree #meherio #tiffany #iproooomiseillwritebacksoon!
Figuring out what the subject line should be is the hardest part of the email!
You know you're a missionary when.... You see someone go somewhere by themselves and you wonder what it's like doing that and you get mad jealous! # singingpartofyourworldfromlitt lemermaid
