Week 3: So.... i guess only like 20 people get my emails. idk... frick...

Well hello there! WE ARE NOW IN THE MONTH OF ME LEAVING TO JAPAN!!!!! September 29th! Its coming up! Halfway through my MTC experience I can say that I have learned so much! Ive learned alot in Japanese and Gospel stuff but I think the biggest thing ive learned is to love my kyudoshas (investigators) Ive learned that it isnt about what youve prepared, know, memorized, or anything like that. Its about listening. Listening to what the kyudosha is saying from their heart. really understanding and wanting to help their needs and then listening to the spirit to know what you should share. This keiji (revelation) has come to me so many time throughout the week. when we would practice teaching we hardly ever followed what we planned at least not completely. We listened to the spirit and the spirit put words into my mouth that the kyudosha needed to hear. It has been an amazing week in that way and an amazing MTC experience! also this week i was talking to someone just in normal conversation and i forgot the English word for Kyudosha (investigator) It has begun everyone!!! We teach people not lesson!
I have more and more appreciation for my mother every single day. I get to share stories and express what is in my heart to people and get to feel the spirit so strong. I know the needs of my kyudosha and can help them with them. I know more than just church is true and prayer can help. It seriously is such a blessing that my mom taught me Japanese and i see more and more blessing everyday also the people of Japan will be so blessed aswell. Thank you mom!

Thanks for the emails, dear elders, packages (mom and Mica thank you!!!), letters, and prayers this week. I can feel the support and love and thank you all so dang much!!! I pray for you all everyday!

My Week

So I was walking to get mail last week when someone was like KENGO!? i turned around and Bryce Rodabough was there!!!! Bryce is on his mission in Atlanta so he was like the last person id expect to see there. He said he was on surgical leave because he got something worked on in his mouth and was back for a little bit. he is volunteering at the mtc responding to Mormon.org questions! When he saw me that he for some reason thought he should sit on a certain bench and then he saw me! #churchistrue lol!

The two devotionals we had this week were next level!!! They were so great! sunday brother Hospefel (no one knows how to say or spell his name) came and talked. He talked about some missionaries that were knocking on doors they had in their area book. The first one they were determined to talk to wasnt home after many knocks they gave up and one saw a street sign and said i think i remember an address on this street. They crossed the street and knocked on the door... no answer. they knocked more and still no answer. they were beginning the leave when a woman came jogging up to the house saying WAIT!!! she said come in!!! I NEED TO GET BAPTIZED! she explained that yesterday night she had been talking to her friend about mormons and if she ever thought of joining the church she said HECK NO! ill tell you what ill get baptized tomorrow it missionaries walk up to my door! The lord truly does lead us to people who are prepared if we follow the spirit. He also talked about how he was serving as mission president in alabama when picking up new missionaries a sister said i bring greetings from my stake president in Italy. Apparently that mission president has baptized that stake president when he was 15 years old! The lord continues and helps the fruits of your labors way after your mission.

I could talk about these devotionals forever but i dont want to bore you! also i kind of suck at telling stories! hahaha but anyways President Clarke came and talked to us tuesday and he said a lot fo things that really hit me but this was the biggest thing. He said that what you are doing in your mission for someones brother, sister, aunt, best friend, neighbor someone is doing for yours back home. I know this to be true and its been hard thinking about my family and friends back home but i know they are in good hands. it makes me want to work harder because i want the missionaries helping my family and friends to work hard for them! its cool to sit in a huge building with hundreds of missionaries and having the comfort that someone there will be helping someone in my home of utah and i will be helping someone in someones home of Tokyo Japan! I used to think the Utah mission was kinda like a huge test of faith and a hard one to be called to. now i see that to me personally it is one of the greatest and most meaningful missions.

Challenge of the Week!!!
I want you to think of something that youve kind of maybe had a negative attitude towards. Something that you have had your mind dead set on your opinion and never thought it would change. think about that thing and try to see a different side of it. Try to see what blessings come from it or who it can help or is helping. Try learning more about it without judging. Maybe that something is a person idk. :D

Tweets of the Week
I think Yoda is Japanese.... and learned English. the sentence structure he uses is the same as Japanese! also only Asians live that long #churchistrueitis #YodaisAsian
